Katherine Noelle Holmes, born on 18 December 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. The youngest of five children - she has three older sisters and an older brother - Katie had no intention of contributing to an actress while growing up. Her mother, Kathy Holmes, enrolled her long legs in the daughter of Margaret O'Brien's Modeling School in Toledo, which ultimately led Katie to her present career. During their summer holidays from Notre Dame Academy (an all-girls Catholic High School), 17-year-old Katie visited a Modeling Convention in New York City.

The Convention, a talent scout from Los Angeles approached Katie and encourages them to spend the rest of the summer in California Auditioning. Katie was in Hollywood with her mother to try their luck to act, despite initial skepticism of her father.

Katie Holmes played Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek and has worked in big screen movies like Disturbing Behavior (1998), Go (1999), Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999) and The Gift (2000). It has also highlighted cell phone (2003), Pieces of April (2003), First Daughter (2004), Batman Begins (2005), and thank you for not smoking (2006). It is hard to imagine a girl, is synonymous with sweets as a sex symbol, but there is something attractive about a woman that projects a naive sexuality. And since marry Tom Cruise, it is really trying, "sophisticate" itself, sporting more of a Jackie O. look as the girls next door, we all have to learn.
