Biography

If only Tom Cruise has never experienced knee injury, he would probably be a professional wrestler, rather than a Hollywood actor. Whether it was a blessing in disguise or not, the incident certainly served as an important turning point in his life. It made him be subjected to chose a different path, so as one of the most renowned artists in the world. Born on 3 July 1962 in Syracuse, New York, he is the third child and only son of Thomas Cruise Maphoter III and Mary Lee Pfeiffer. Together with his three sisters, Lee Anne, Marian, and Cass Mapother, Tom spent his early life living in different places, partly due to his father's profession as an electrical engineer. The family had emigrated from Ottawa; Louisville, Kentucky, and Wayne, New Jersey, before they finally in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. At that time, his parents were divorced and Mary Lee again a man named Joseph South.

Once in a dozen different schools, Tom often encountered difficulties when reading text, thus came to a realization that he had a learning disorder called dyslexia. He then focused his attention on sports in his study in Glen Ridge High School. It was during this time that he had the injury forced him to leave the school wrestling team. Moreover, it prevents the pursuit of a career in sports. Knowing this, he began to look for another area that he could fit in. It turned out that acting was a decent choice, so he decided to take a further look by the accession of the school setting. Acting apparently turned out that for the upkeep of the need to compete and gain attention but also helped him cope with his dyslexia as memorization aspect improved his concentration and motivational skills. Having enjoyed his performance in the student's musical project of "Guys and Dolls", he decided to set up a professional career.

As determined to meet his dream, Tom went to New York after his high school degree in 1980. This was the time shortened, if his first name, Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, a stylish name of Tom Cruise. To support his life, he worked intensively as bus boy, a porter and a table-cleaning equipment. He later used some of the money to study drama at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse, taught by both Sanford Meisner and Phil Gushee, the remarkable trainers. Gradually developed his skills, he began several auditions, finally made his way to a role in a musical play called "Godspell". His performance impressed an Italian film director Franco Zeffirelli, later, offered him a small role in "Endless Love" (1981). Following the signing by Paula Wagner of Creative Artists Agency, he went on to play supporting characters in "Taps" (1981) and "The Outsiders" (1983).

Tom earned his first major role in a comedy film entitled "Losin 'It" (1983). But it was "Risky Business" (1983) led to his name began to sound, especially for its excellent work and attractive appearance either the people had raised interest. He continued to perform brilliantly in "All The Right Moves," came in the same year. The machine started to mark him as one of the "Brat Pack", a group of young actors in their twenties, were predicted to rule the film industry in the early 1980s. This was in fact correct and properly dealt with him as he earned his first nomination in Golden Globe Award for best performance by an actor in a Motion Picture Comedy / Musical in 1984. In 1986, Tom created a sensation by his role as Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in Tony Scott's "Top Gun". Becoming a box-office, this particular film brought him to success and gain global popularity.

After receiving what he dreamed, Tom tried to maintain his career by careful selection of his tasks ahead. He picked up even more serious challenge as characters in "The Color of Money" (1986), "Rain Man" (1988) and "Born on the Fourth of July" (1989). The latter led him to a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture - Drama in 1990. Meanwhile, he also received a nomination for Best Actor in BAFTA awards as well as Academy Awards during the year. Something stumbled in "Cocktail" (1988), "Days of Thunder" (1990) and "Far and Away" (1992), he kept moving, quickly recovered from the main role in "A Few Good Men" (1992) turned the register as a Box office hit and was critically acclaimed. More than that the film also granted him a nomination at the 1993 Golden Globe Awards, this time for the category of Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture - Drama. In the same year he worked with Wagner to form Cruise / Wagner Productions, goes one step ahead of many other actors, a film producer.

Following the lead role in "The Firm" (1993), he was a vampire named Lestat in "Interview with the Vampire" (1994), was the adaptation of Anne Rice's best-seller novel. His decision to cast the film has some protests from both the author and the book fans because of his physical appearance, was quite different from Rice's Lestat description. This problem was solved when Rice finally accepted to witness the casting Tom's performance. The year 1996 marked his first venture in film production through "Mission: Impossible" (1996), which he also played in. A short time later, he joined in "Jerry Maguire" (1996) alongside Renée Zellweger and Cuba Gooding Jr.. All these films proved to be the top-grossing films of the scored more than 105 million U.S. dollars in domestic release. Tom therefore became the first actor in history to be in movies with such a performance five times in succession.

In 1997, Tom was granted, another Golden Globe Award of Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy / musical for his role in "Jerry Maguire". He was also considered one of the nominees for best actor in a leading role in Academy Awards. He reiterated once again the same realization less than four years by "Magnolia" (1999), only this time in the category supporting role. The 21st Century was a glorious time for Tom, because he had acquired dual success as an actor and producer in "Mission: Impossible II" (2000), "Vanilla Sky" (2001) and "The Last Samurai" (2003). The latter led him to be nominated for the best performance by an actor in a Motion Picture - Drama 2004 in the Golden Globe Awards. Having played as head of the police officer in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi film entitled "Minority Report" (2002), he surprised if decided to create a contrasting role as a hit man named Vincent in "Collateral" (2004). "I've never played a character like this before," he said. "Vincent interested me because it is such an antisocial personality, bringing destruction and chaos with him wherever he goes. He is a force of nature."

Tom once more in common with Spielberg in the summer of 2005 blockbuster movie "War of the Worlds." By July, this action sci-fi has more than 190 million U.S. dollars, prove that he was a Hollywood superstar, not lose its charm and quality. With a view to its representation of the many characters he plays, Tom apparently has developed what is considered a so-called "Generic Tom Cruise character." Some film fans and critics have noticed that at the beginning of this role is a self-centered and haughty people who only care about themselves, but in the end turns out that a better person for a radical change. This feature can be found in its most popular films as "Rain Man", "Jerry Maguire", "The Last Samurai" and "War of the Worlds." According to the "War of the Worlds" Tom's next project was "Mission: Impossible 3" (2006), in the same scene with Laurence Fishburne, Ving Rhames, Keri Russell. Once again, the role as producer of this second sequel to "Mission: Impossible", he said the same status in the films "Elizabethtown" (2005) and "Ask the Dust" (2006).

Besides his career as an actor and producer Tom's private life creates the same feeling as those of its activities in the field. Formerly known by the actress of the TV series "Little House on the Prairie" (1974-1983), Melissa Gilbert, he had lived together with an actress named Rebecca De Mornay striking from 1983 to 1985. On 9 May 1987, he married Mimi Rogers, for the first time at Paul Newman's Road Racing Classic Show in Georgia. Spending three years of togetherness, this couple decided to end their marriage in February 1990. It was not too long before he found a new love in Nicole Kidman, his counter-part in "Days of Thunder". By the end of 1990, they proclaimed themselves as husband and wife. This beautiful couple then starred together in "Far and Away" and "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999). In January 1993, Tom and Nicole adopted a baby girl they named Isabella Jane Kidman Cruise. It followed the adoption of Connor Anthony Kidman Cruise two years later.

Happily married for ten years, Tom suddenly a shocking decision to divorce Nicole legally on 8 August 2001. He thereafter from Penelope Cruz, on the contrary, his "Vanilla Sky", but the relationship lasted only for 3 years. In April 2005, he was discovered, along with Katie Holmes is sixteen years his junior, when she barely 26 on that date. Press is the suspicion that this is only as a tool to improve their advertising, but the couple decided against speculation, especially Tom. As if to prove that they are really serious thinking about their romance, the couple frightening proclaimed their commitment on 17 June this year, followed by a confirmation that Katie was pregnant. The couple then joyfully welcomed the birth of her child, a daughter named Suri Cruise, 18 April 2006. There is not much published on the baby people started to suspect that they actually do not exist. All of the speculation was finally shot down with the release of Suri photos shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz, 5 September 2006. Shown by Katie Couric during her first night as anchor of the CBS "Evening News With Katie Couric", the photos were certainly more than enough to feed the curiosity of people who roamed around for months automatically shut down the ill rumours surrounded the baby existence.

As one of Hollywood's most popular actors, Tom has since been the subject of some interest. It was therefore not surprising if he often encountered problems, particularly on the rumors about his homosexuality. During his marriage with Nicole life he had sued two tabloids, The Star and London's Express, for the publication of false reports about their marriage. Tom, together with Nicole, won both cases, but these were apparently just the beginning of a series of other disputes. In 2001, he filed a lawsuit against Big magazine publisher, Michael Davis, has claimed that he had received a video tape of Tom in a homosexual relationship. However, he later dropped the case, as the magazine withdrawn Davis' statement, while Davis promised he would never such allegations in the future. Shortly thereafter, a porn star named Chad Slater, or known as Kyle Bradford said that he had an affair with this renowned film stars during his interview with magazine Actustar. Tom quickly a defamation suit by 10 million U.S. dollars compared to Bradford, then finally won the case, as Bradford was to pay 17 million U.S. dollars in August 2001.

Another aspect of Tom, which also came to the surface was his belief in Scientology. Tom had converted to this religion shortly after the release of "Top Gun" in 1986. As a board member of Hubbard's Hollywood Education & Literature problem (help), said that it was that Scientology had helped him to cure his dyslexia. This raised different reactions, including by the International Association of dyslexia as his statement as unscientific. Tom got more and more active promotion of the Church of Scientology teachings replaced in 2004, after his publicist, Pat Kingsley, with his sister, Lee Anne, is also a Scientologist. In June 2005, he was ignited controversy when he criticized Brooke Shields for itself in psychiatric drugs to overcome their depression. It was because he fully supports the idea of Scientology rejects the use of this type of medicine. Despite these conflicts going on in his life, without a doubt the people will always remember him as one of the most extraordinary, beautiful, and the key players in the world ever has done.

On 18 November 2006, only seven months after the arrival of baby Suri, TomKat exchanged vows in a lavish black-tie ceremony in the Odescalchi Castle on Lake Bracciano, Italy more than 150 guests. The costs nearly $ 2.5 million, the wedding has always been a hot commodity in Hollywood, dominate The Gossip pages a day after the ceremony was over. It was capable of great preparations, send kitchen, wedding souvenirs and A-list celebrity guests, the wedding extraordinary. No doubt, it was later credited as the "wedding of the year." Then put his focus back on his career, Tom wonderfully have no time to pile up more film credits to his back by signing for the "Lions for Lambs "(2007)," Valkyrie "(2009) and "The Hardy Men" ( 2009), in the meantime also seats as a producer in the former two of United Artists, the film company he has been responsible for since the end of 2006 after its split from Paramount Pictures after fourteen years of cooperation in the production of large screen title.

Star of the movie Hellboy

Biography

Ron Perlman grew up in the Washington Heights section of New York City, where his father was a radio / TV repair man and his mother an employee with the city's Department of Health. A deeply unattractive youth, Perlman was still very active in the high school theater, because of their height (6-foot-2), and its deep, rolling voice. He continued studying drama at Lehman College and later at the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with a Master's degree in theater arts. He went to work with New York's Classic Stage Company, an organization that specializes in Elizabethan and Restoration plays. Perlman starred in several Manhattan and touring productions staged by Tom O'Horgan of + Hair fame prior to the adoption of his first film role as a Neanderthal man in 1981's Quest for Fire. Emotionally drained, Perlman backed off from acting after the film, but was soon back in the groove, essaying such attention-getting roles as the hunchbacked Salvatore in The Name of the Rose (1986). Most often cast as a brooding, inarticulate, villainous characters in films (such as Pap's 1993 The Adventures of Huck Finn), Perlman was best known for his performance as the Merciful One, albeit hideously ugly, sewer-dwelling Vincent in the late'80s TV series Beauty and the Beast. Although this was the actor defining role for the years after the show's run had drawn to a close, he was busier than ever through the 90s. Appearing in everything from obscure art-house hits (Cronos [1993] and The City of Lost Children [1995) and video games (Fallout, a post Nuclear Role Playing Game) to overblown Hollywood blockbusters (Alien Resurrection), left few Perlman Stones unturned in terms of flexibility and experimentation in the new media. He continued this trend until the early 2000s, alternating between the different arenas with remarkable ease and refuse to drawer, appear in this high-profile releases such as Titan AE (2000), Enemy at the Gates (2001) and Blade II (2002). Although his recognition factor seemed higher than ever before, few could see the possibility, if only Cronos and Blade II director Guillermo del Toro announced that Perlman would star in the film adaptation of Mike Mignola's popular comic book Hellboy, although it seemed highly unlikely that studios would invest the millions of dollars required to secure the comic to life with an actor of such minimal "marquee value." They wanted Vin Diesel for the role, but del Toro, with the blessing and encouragement of copyright Mignola character, to have won Perlman play the Nazi-Creation-turned-superhero in the 2004 fantasy-action film.

Biography

Gifted with remarkable versatility, especially a natural flair in comedy, which he in his own unique way to draw people big laughs but also warm their hearts, Richard Adam Sandler has certainly considered one of the most prominent comic actors Hollywood has ever done. A son of a Jewish American couple named Stanley and Judy Sandler, the star, born on 9 September 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, where his very happy early childhood, before his parents took him and his three siblings, in Manchester, New Hampshire by 1972. Growing up as an active teenager with an interest in wrestling, basketball, music, comedy and especially the boys do not excel in academic subjects in school but was very light on entertaining people, the suggestions from either comic characters such as Mel Brooks, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield , Or movies, especially that of Harold Ramis' “Caddyshack” (1980).

Always the class clown in the eyes of his classmates in Manchester Central High School, Adam, but has not thought deeply about the use of his gift for humor to pursue a career until his brother, Scott, encouraged him to a spontaneous appearance in Boston's Stitches comedy club.
Nearly 17 years ago, when the experience led him to a realization that he really has the potential in this area and started to hone his comic skills when entering the New York University ended after his high school study of 1984, writing his own material while playing shows wherever possible, be it in local clubs or just to technical colleges. Added these efforts on the screen with recurring appearances on TV series "The Cosby Show" and MTV's "Remote Control" in the course of the year 1987, all plants led him finally to a decision on a journey into the entertainment industry from the time when he earned his BFA degree in 1991.

Unfortunately, the road proved to be a little rocky for Adam as his screen debut, "Going Overboard" (1989), he went unnoticed plus only minor role in a 1989 episode of "The Marshall Chronicles" in a TV Film "Dirty testing" (1990). The search for better opportunities in Los Angeles, the brown eyes guy then chose to concentrate on the burgeoning comedy circuit slots and landed instead at the Improv Theatre, where he later wonderful the attention of comedian Dennis Miller, recommended him immediately Lorne Michaels , The producer of NBC's "Saturday Night Live". Originally hired the show's writer for a year before they enter the regular cast of 1991, he wisely used the opportunity to show its best through the various comic characters nailed it very well and within a short time, his name was widely recognized throughout the country as one of the most prominent members of SNL.

It was not until he starred opposite Drew Barrymore in "The Wedding Singer" (1998) that the funnyman finally came to world attention, as this romantic comedy strips out of the way to collect more than 123 million U.S. dollars internationally, brought him undeniably bigger fan base and wider access than in Hollywood. Moreover, directed him to receive three nominations at the 1998 MTV Movie Awards for the categories of Best Comedic Performance, Best On-Screen Duo and Best Kiss of the gloriously won it along with Barrymore.

The commercial success won in his later pictures of "The Waterboy" (1998), "Big Daddy" (1999) and "Mr. Deeds" (2002), Adam consequently, a hugely popular comic actor further increased this inevitably some doubts about his true talent apart from nailing roles in goofball humor genre. In his reply, he thus a stellar performance in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Punch-Drunk Love" (2002), which really impressed remarkable film critic Roger Ebert, even HFPA invited to give him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy category a year later. Continue to break free from its typical comedies, the brown-haired man wonderfully maintained his career while taking various roles, plays a mild-mannered businessman in "Anger Management" (2003), then a veterinarian, determined to win the heart of a Woman with a short-term memory disorder in "50 First Dates" (2004).

Notwithstanding these high in box office by his next feature, "The Longest Yard" (2005), Adam seemed to have no difficulty at all to move in the industry so roles kept coming for him. During 2006 saw him reach another box-office success of "Click", 2007 surprisingly strong venture in its genre drama in "Reign Over Me" before he again with the comedy "Now I talk to Chuck and Larry" along with Kevin James , Jessica Biel, plus Steve Buscemi. Other stations were nabbed after strange because he was already billed star in "Do not with the Zohan" (2008), "Bedtime Stories" (2008) and "Wild Pitch" (2009), the latter finding him play the first white man to play baseball in the Black League.

Apart from his profession as an actor and writer, this low-profile star was also aware that a film producer, mostly stood behind the cinema, he was in over his company, Happy Madison Productions. As with his private life, even Adam, actress Alicia Silverstone in 1996, but later gave his heart to Jackie Titone, whom he finally married on 22 June 2003.
